Adding Husband who is a Single Applicant

Hi,

My AOR is Mar 2020 and I have got a re-medical request on 26th Nov.
My fiance, who is also a single applicant has AOR Jan 2021.

We would like to move to Canada together. I am thinking of getting married and add him to my file as a dependent spouse.

Please advise if this is the correct way to go about it?

Should I get married before PPR or after?

@anam_sdqi you can only add your spouse after you have the official certificate of the marriage. Once married, you cannot enter Canada without informing IRCC as the COPR will be issued for both of you. If you decide to add your spouse at this stage, the points will not be re-calculated.

To initiate the addition process, you just need to raise the webform and inform IRCC. They will share the necessary documents with you and you will need to make the necessary payments too.
