My husband sponsored me to become permanent resident. But during the process my mother passed away so me and my sister (18yrs old now) became orphan. My husband and i then adopted my sister and requested to add her as my dependent child on the application. Adoption was legally done in my home country in Jan, 2019 but because of the law of my country she had to get my husband’s family name. We’ve submitted the documents to the visa office. But we haven’t heard back yet. They told us that i can’t get the CORP until any decision has made. It’s been 6 months already and i’m starting to confuse if we made the right thing. Should i withdraw her from my application? If so, can i still get my pr card and go to Canada? Or is it better to wait? If i have to wait, how long should i expect?
