Adding a spouse after getting copr

Hi there,

I have got married some time before getting copr but wasn’t aware of the fact that you have to declare your marriage in the process.

Well I did it now and they have asked my copr and passport back and have cancelled those documents. I have returned by document last Wednesday and it’s being a week now I have not heard anything from them as of now.

Just wondering how and when CIC will respond back to me to proceed further with my request of adding a spouse in the process?

It will be awesome to hear back from someone here.

I haven’t applied for my wife yet. I just returned my copr documents as per request. They told me to return documents and wait for there reply. So just for that it will take few months?

Oh, I see. I'm not too sure how long it takes to get the next request. The overall process of adding your spouse may take a few months.

Yes exactly I agree with you. Total process will take few months let’s say 6-7 months.

But I’m just waiting for next step on which they will ask for my wife documentation and don’t know when and how they will respond to me.

Please reply to this thread if anyone knows about that.
