Hi to all
I was wondering about social life in Canada and how people are dealing with the differences of their home country,, especially Mediterranean people, or middle eastern people. Because I had a short Canadian daily life experience and all i saw was mainly asia origin people(was in vancouver) trying to live like they are in their home country. in my opinion north American culture is already individualistic and sometimes superficial,. people are distant and afraid to meet new people.so how new immigrants are adapting themselves. does canada really worth it?may be i am totally wrong, that just based on a limited observation.
I am not ranting or criticizing, just trying to know more about how new immigrants who are far from their family, culture, and habits are getting used to a very different and lets say "cold" lifestyle.
We are on our way to move to Canada but personally I have some worries about getting along with culture and people. I am not looking for an answer to a stupid question, just curious if anyone else have or had same feelings and worries. again, i know it really sounds shallow, but i wanted to throw this post anyway.
Thanks and good luck to everyone.
