Ack for receiving FSW applicaion

Hi,

I have just submitted the application for FSW through courier and from the Fedex, I got confirmation that my application was delivered on 24th Feb 09. Wondering will I get any acknowledgment from the Sydney office.

ack with decision! is that true? u meant to say that once we submit application,we not only recieve their ack but decision too? I have heard that as cic recieve application,it sends you an Ack. after a month or two which is followed by their decision.I have some queries related to that ,ruphe pls clarify:

1> Fedex has delivered my application on 18th of March,does that mean that CIC has officially recieved my application? or they will send me an Ack.
2>Is your Application date taken from the time it has been delivered by courier or when they send you an Ack.?
3>How long it is taking to hear anything from CIC once your application is delivered?

yes acknowledgement with decision to proceed further or not from Sydney.

I am purely talking about Sydney.

1) Fedex say they delivered it. Is there guarantee that they deliver to the right addess, there is no 100% guarantee so I cannot say whether CIC recieved it or not. CIU in Sydney will send you an acknowledgement with their decision.
2) Does this matter? I think the date is the day they received your application into their office and note it down. Doesn't have to be when Fedex say they received it. This discrepancy can be due to internal processes.
3) about a month but depends on the postal system and time from Sydney to your country.

As for the visa office, acknowledgement comes way before decision.
