What if I have academic ielts and i'll be applying for immigrant visa in Manitoba. AM I qualified? Reading 5.5, Writing 6.0, Listening 6.5, Speaking 6.5.

1 - no, General IELTS only

2 - no, scores are too low

Depends on your what NOC level your job belongs to

I am also having same query. My aggregate band is 7.5 in Academics. I will be applying under NOC Skill level A. Please let me know whether I can go with this score or have to retake ielts in general mode !?

You need to retake the test and take the General version. Academic is not accepted for immigration purposes.

Agreed with the member - CIC only accepts General IELTS so you'll need to retake the test unfortunately.

Only General Training IELTS is accepted - if you take Academic IELTS, it's only good for applying for schools but you can't use it for PR
