Hey guys,

As there are hundreds of international students coming to Canada to study Accounting and Finance every year, I thought that it would be good to have a separate thread where people studying (or working in) this field could share their experiences with EE system.

I encourage everyone studying or working in the accounting field to post here whatever may be helpful to other applicants or people who are thinking of coming here and get their PR this way. If possible, please post the following information:

*the school you are studying at/graduated from
*name of the program
*years of experience
*job title
*your EE score + if you were invited to apply for PR
*+ anything else that may be helpful to others

I realize that at this time there are not many accountants invited to apply for a PR through EE, but I hope that with time there will be some successful individuals and they will share their experience with the new system here.

One of the reasons why I created this thread is the fact that in 2013, accounting was excluded from the list of eligible occupations under CEC program, and I am curious if this has changed and now accountants are treated as they were before that change.

Okay, so I'm gonna share my info as the first one. I am studying the Accounting and Finance program at Seneca College. The program is three years long, and there is a Co-op option. Fortunately, I was able to get in to the Co-op stream, and I am currently working as a junior accountant at a small accounting firm - this is my first work term, therefore I have three more school semesters and two more work terms. Most likely, I will graduate in December 2016, however I am starting to gather the information now since I could possibly change my plans if there were any opportunities to get my PR sooner than I am expecting that to happen. I used the score calculator on this website and it says that my score would be 438. Can't wait to see people with similar score being invited to apply for PR...

Thanks in advance for your responses.
