Hello,
My daughter who is 16 years old is a full time boarding student in Canada. I would like to move to Canada as an accompanying parent to be there for her on weekends and holidays. I understand that spouses of students can apply for an open permit. Can I apply for a work permit as a parent? Is there any way that I can work in Canada as an accompanying parent?

No.

If you want a work permit, you need to secure a full time job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA.
