Hello all,

I am new here and i would like ask some things about the accomodation because i am very confused.

One of the things Visa asks is the accomodation fees.

My Uncle (wife's uncle really) lives (canadian citizen) in Toronto and he will provide with accomodation me and my wife for each year of my studies.

What should i show to them?
Letter of accomodation support?
Photocopy of his passport?
Income taxes from my Uncle?

Please give me some advice...

Thank you

I would like to ask also that do I really need accomodation support?

Because I have already paid Tuition fees for the first year
and
I have already about 15000 can dollars in my bank account.

I look forward to hearing from you, your advice!

Thanks a lot.

Can anybody help me please?

If i show money in my account is enough? or i have to attach an accommodation support from my Uncle?

your uncle can provide a sponsorship letter stating that he will be responsible for your accomodation needs.

He will need a letter stating such (notarized) + his bank statements + his tax returns for the past year or two and his assets if possible. You can also attach documentation to prove the uncle's relationship to your wife (although not necessary, its good if you can).

You should still show some money in your account (as backup).

1. Accommodation support letter is not required. You must show first year tuition fees + CAD 10,000 living expenses. That's all.

Hi just_do_it,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

According to your advice I have to do both of them. Right?

But if available 15000 dollars aren't enough?

and Secondly I have read many times that is better not to show that you have family members or friends in Canada because maybe they will think that I will not go back to my country.

Thank you enfield!

That is the best way, right?

Just to clarify this that is copy from the site

proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees;

proof of payment of tuition--> ok

about this ? accommodation fees?

No Proof?

Or are including in the 10000$?

The site does not clarify what they need from accomodation
They only say to have tuition fees paid and 10000 can $
About accommodation?
10000can $ include living expenses and accommodation?

Hi,

10,000$ is for overall living expenses in 1 financial year which includes accommodation + other costs such as food, transport, mobile, internet, miscellaneous.

Yes, 10000$ is the minimum amount CIC thinks is required for living expenses, accommodation included... plus 2000-3000$ for travel/return ticket

Thanks ALL guys!
Now it seems to me clear what I should do.

Thanks for sharing your experience with me.

:) :) :)

$10,000 is for himself. He states that his uncle will provide accomodation for him and his wife. So i assume she will be accompanying him or joining him at some point.

So they will probably have to show either more $$ or some sort of accomodation arrangements (sponsorship from uncle), unless he is applying alone for now.
