Accomodation in MUN (fall 2013)

hi.. i would like to get some advice for accomodation in MUN ..

if im a first year undergrad, am i eligible to apply for burton's pond??? ( if i have previously attended a post secondary institution as well)

is it more recommended to share an apartment instead with few others???

how much is your rent a mth if u share an apartment with few others? pls advise!! thank u ..
