I raised a webform on 29/9/2022 and had a reply on same date stating that we are conducting background investigations at the moment. Thats all…!! Its now 17 weeks and 4 days no update till date not even a ghost update.

When you lodged the application, did the eligibility review and background check start soon after biometrics?

I reapplied. So the application was made on June 30, 2022. I had my biometric on March 10, 2022. So they updated on the e portal on same date as June 30, 2022.
About medical
I had an upfront medical. It was first updated on July 06, 2022 and then reupdated on 15 August 2022. i applied through an RCIC so she shared the screenshot and at that time BGC was also going on along with eligibility. I dont have the exact idea when did they started but based on this last SS It is since in the stage for both

UAE applicants do not require medical for TRV (SP).
Anyhow, I believe July-Sep is a busy time due to many applications. Hopefully, you will receive a reply by November.
