Abu Dhabi .. use VFS or direct to embassy

I have applied for my wife and daughter for a TRV through the Abu Dhabi embassy and I've received the request for the passports. However where I need to send these passports seems a bit unclear.

The link provided on the letter says that I can mail directly to the embassy. They claim that there can be no PO boxes but of course they have provided a PO box as their address instead of a street address.

The embassy's web page says that we cannot submit applications to the embassy directly and that courier based applications must go through VFS (who of course provides a "passport transmission service" at fee of 83 AED).

Do we really need to use VFS? If we can mail directly, I assume that I put the Abu Dhabi Trade Towers as the address. Anybody do this successfully?

Me too. I have the same questions.
I have applied online... done my biometric in VFS.... I have recieved now the letter for passport request.

Shall I send my passport with any courier ( DHL, Fedex or Aramex) to Embassy address directly? or shall I go in person to VFS in Abu Dhabi?

I dont live in Abu Dhabi, thats why I prefere to send it directly by the courier.
If we choose to send it by Courier, do we have to place paid envelop or the returning envelop fees was already considered as part of the processing fee?

You need to contact Aramex, I think that is there courier. But you need to call fist +971 4 2055881. Hope this helps!
