Hi i recently immigrated to Vancouver,Canada. i was a J1 student in US and got approvel within 11months. I would like to give few advice newcomers to British Columbia. i stayed Ottawa before ,it was cold and boring.and if you dont speak both officall languages its very hard to find a good job there.

British Clumbia is very nice and warmer then anywhere else in Canada.it rainly in winter but better than cold and snow right
I came here this Aug. Housing is easy. i have rented a 1 bedroom apt in Burnaby,BC for 700. Dont brought my cell phone with me and just bought a line from "Mobilicity" which is no need any contract other companies do robbery. i pay $40 included long distance canada and usa,and unlimited internet.

if you have already driver license you can just exchance it here. just go to ICBC. i bought a car already so i can drive around and visit nice places like Wister. I have already started to work in a pizzaria but applied to some fedaral reserve jobs. i didnt hear anything yet. I will also start SFU (simon fraser university) in next semester. its really affordable here if you are not international students.

Here are the things that are incorrect in your post:

1) Not all driver licence can just be exchanged. Some require passing driving test. See the ICBC website for details;
2) It's Whistler and not "Wister";
3) It depends the background where international students come from, some might find Vancouver affordable.

What kind of info do you need about Vancouver? Are both email addresses of the OP were invalid?
