Hi everyone,
I'm about to send my husband's PR application to Canada (Quebec). I have been living in Vietnam, with my husband (vietnamese citizen) (since January 2011)
Here's what's in my husband's PR application. Tell me if I forgot anything:
SPONSORED (husband) documents:
-photocopy of passport (includes every page of passport with photos, infos and stamps)
-birth certificate (translated) (is that even necessary?)
-police check thing (translated)
-*he's got his medical visit scheduled for next week...
SPONSOR (me) documents:
-photocopy of passport (includes every page of passport with photos, infos and stamps)
-personal letter to describe the history of my relationship with husband + about our intention to live in Quebec
-confirmation of employment (current job) to prove that I am working only part time here, no insurance or anything (it is one of the reasons i stated about why i want to go back to quebec, to get more work stability...)
-proof of my plane tickets to visit vietnam from Montreal (when i first met him, back in 2010 and when i came back for him in 2011)
SHARED DOCUMENTS (my husband and I):
-2 out of the 4 rent contracts for houses where we live where both our names appear (should i include the rents where my name doesnt appear?)
-photocopy of proof of joint bank account
-e-tickets of our trips to indonesia and vietnam (+ we have stamp/visa proofs in our passports)
-e-ticket of our upcoming trip to Dalat, Vietnam in August 2013
-our wedding certificate (translate)
-letter from the police department in our neighborhood stating that he knows son and I live at X address since X time (translated)
FORMS
(required by the government, as written on the control list IMM5491)
-*we will go make passport photos this week
FAMILY AND FRIENDS TESTIMONIES
-personal letters from about 10 friends and family members
-Document (declaration signatures) of about 40 person who know my husband and I and can attest that we are in a real relationship together (not everyone signed because it was done on internet, many of our friends have left vietnam already) but all their infos are there: add, phone number, email, name, job, etc.)
PHOTOS
-about 6 pictures per page (double sided) (i was trying to save paper and make the document less heavy!) vacation and travel, wedding, engagement photos, random photos of us, with friends, family, etc. (i think i have about 200 photos in total)
-photocopies of weddings cards from friends
-our wedding invitations (we had 2 wedding ceremonies)
SKYPE HISTORY
-about 300 pages of skype history (everything that i could retrieve on my computer)
FACEBOOK HISTORY
-personal conversation between my husband and I, about 150 pages)
-our FB "friendship" history (all photos, friends we have in common, messages we wrote on each others walls, etc)
-our "save the date" wedding invitation on Facebook (yes, our save the date was sent via facebook! ahah)...
OUR ARRIVAL PLAN/DESIRE TO COME TO QUEBEC
-about 4 pages describing what we plan to do when we arrive in Quebec (staying about a month at my parents house while searching for an appartment in Montreal, my husband looking for work, things we will need to buy (expenses), etc.)
-2 budgets: one with only my salary, and one with my mine and my husband's part time salary (to prove the governement that we wont have any financial difficulties even if im the only one with a job in the beginning)
-I already have a confirmation of employment from my ex boss in quebec (stating amount of hours, salary, etc) so thats a proof that i will be financially stable when we come back.
-My husband is a tattoo artist so i have printed out canadian health documents about the work of a tattoo artist in quebec (to prove that he has done some research about work in quebec)
-1 recommendation letter from a friend who's also a tattoo artist and visited us in vietnam, recommending my husband as a tattoo artist in quebec.
-i printed out some of my husband's artwork (his exhibition flyers, printed out his online portfolio, articles about him in vietnamese and expat magazines)... to show the government that he IS a tattoo artist and makes a living out of it...
-he recently started french classes so we added the payment receipt to the PR application, to prove that he intends to learn quebec's language, proves that he wants to be part of society, etc.
------------
NOW that all this is done... I have a few questions:
1- considering the face that we BOTH live in vietnam, where do i send the application? If Canada, do i still need to write SINGAPORE as the "visa office"?... a bit confused here...
2-in the "GENERIC APPLICATION FORM FOR CANADA":
A- Application details/#7(c): if no, when did you apply for your CSQ? (i answered no... but i havent applied for CSQ? what am i supposed to write?)
B- National identity document/#5/expiration date: (my husband does not have an expiration date on his national identity document (his ID card) so what should I write?)
I put everything in some kind of box/binder (soft plastic, no metal rings or anything..), and used colorful dividers to classify everything (sponsored, sponsor, shared documents, photos, etc.)... is that OK? I used metal clips too... Is that going to be an issue?
Anything else I should know?
A bit stressed out! Been working on the thing for 4 months! (hoping to send it by the end of July!)
Any help is welcomed. Thanks everyone!
