about sharing canadian phone cards here please!

Hi guys,
I'm an Asian and landed to Canada 2 weeks ago.
I'm about to buy canadian phone card and complicate to choice it.
My options are;
1)when I visit my country I wanna use this card outgoing and incoming calls and SMS from other countries (especially Canada, French and Sri-lanka).

2)long valid card.(even not so cheap)

3)Especially I prefer to use SMS more than outgoing calls

Anyone please share your valuable experience here and I'll really appreciate for it!

Hi when i phone to overseas, i use SKYPE.
if you calling to US, cost me $3/month. unlimited.
if you pick one country, probably cost you 10 bucks/month unlimited.
