I have read that police certificates are needed from any country that you have lived in for more than 6 consecutive months since turning 18. Since I have been in Canada for 2 years now, I am assuming I need a police clearance from here as well. However, as I further searched the CIC website, it states that only in certain cases do they require a police certificate in Canada, and the visa office will notify the applicant if it is needed.
So does this mean I only have to acquire a police clearance from my country of origin? Anyone?
Thanks.
