First thing I would do is contact the company through which you got your training, and I expect you've already explored that option. Next, look at Extreme Jobs. I did a quick search for Floorhand, just as an example, and a whole string of jobs came up. Here is one for Ensign: http://www.extremejobs.ca/382128/grande-prairie/floorhand-rockwell-servicing-partnership-job.html
Unless your qualifications come under the NOC 29 coming out on July 1st and you have a full year of experience to go with it, you will have to get a job offer, the employer will have to prove they cannot fill the position with a Canadian or PR already in Canada and obtain an LMO. You will then have to apply for a Work Permit and TRV. Once you have worked for a period of time in Canada you will have options to apply for PR. Good Luck!

The NOC 29 List has remained the same for two years now. There is no guarantee whether it will be the same or change on July 1st 2012. If your wife has worked for at least a year in her position, and can get a job offer/LMO, etc she would be considered in an O,A or B skill category and would be able to apply for PR through a Provincial nomination (PNP) immediately and would not have to work a number of months before applying for PR. And if her occupation is on the NOC List in July, same would apply, without a job offer, but be prepared to get application in ASAP. It is a tough thing to think about, but had you considered going to other nearby countries with Oil/Gas drilling programmes to get experience in the next year if you can't find anything in India? This might give you a leg up to get a future job in Canada. I am not an expert in any of this, so hope I have all my facts correct - have done my best, but do advise you to read all you can about the different routes to come to Canada on the official cic websites and forum. Good Luck!
