hello everybody
it's my first topic here, hope that i can find some help from you guys

i need to get 16 points in the language test
for that i have to get a band 7 in IELTS at least
in french i'm zero i don't know even basics

the problem is my english i think that i can't reach band 7, maximum i can get band 6 in IELTS
i tried some listening exams in the IELTS books i can reach 6.5 but i couldn't reach 7

so now i'm thinking if i can make my points half for IELTS and half for TEF
for that i need band 5 for each
but as i said before my french is zero
do you think if i start taking french lessons in a good institute can i get these points?
if yes, what level i should reach?

i can start from tomorrow but i want to be insure that it's enough to reach level 5 or 6 without any previous knowledge in french and get the points

thanks

Very unlikely as you then declare French as your second language. If you were only able to get 6 in each level in English, that would give you 8 points. For the additional 8 points you would have to high fluency in French as the maximum is 2 points per level in the 2nd language.

PMM

in the application form i mintioned that my english is very good so i can get 16 points
i didn't mintioned anything about french
but i thought i can change it in the file update

so u think it's better to focus on english and try to get band 7

I think PMM is right,

You should work hard on your English - I suggest go to Scottenglish.com website and practice their for a month or so depending upon time left on your hand, and then sit for a test again.
