For the newbies and anyone still struggling to follow all the abbreviations used on this forum I’ve made a list of the most common abbreviations I’ve encountered so far on this spousal sponsorship journey! There is a link at the bottom to a spreadsheet with many more abbreviations incase you don’t find what you’re looking for on my short list.

AOR1 – Acknowledgement of Receipt (sometimes this is skipped and SA is the first thing you receive)
SA – Sponsor Approval
AOR 2 – Acknowledgement of Receipt (at visa office – some visas offices don’t bother to send this out)
PPR – Passport Request
COPR – Confirmation of Permanent Residence
DM – Decision Made
PA – Principal Applicant
IP – In Process
UCI – Unique Client Identifier
GCMS – Global Case Management System

Definitely another good place to look! I used this thread to help me before, but I found it a little annoying to search through such a long list when I really only ever saw 10-15 acronyms commonly being used.
