I understand that Philippine Immigration Officers are very stringent on Filipinos leaving the country. I'll be going on vacation, and worried that I'll be required to present an OEC when going back here in Canada. I am working for a Canadian company, but since a PGWP is essentially an Open Work Permit, my employer is not tied to my permit.

Has anyone had a similar experience of being a PGWP holder and was still able to return to Canada?

If you don't get an answer here you could you check with the PH embassy or consulate in Canada. Immigration in the PH were good at responding to questions sent to them on FB a few years ago, don't know if they still are.

I just saw the other thread you responded to where the OP was talking about the issues his GF had. It sounds like the typical PH bureaucracy where they keep sending you to somebody else but nobody can or will give you a straight answer. Unless you get good clarification I would be very leery of taking the chance of getting stuck there.

Is there anyone who can tell me the secondary clearance and how long takes to complete the process I have been facing this issue for two years with the work permit application I don't know why my application is stuck.
