Hi,

I have a question so could you please answer my question? Thanks!

Let's say, if I was nominated by a province and asked to send all documents to CIC to a different location. In this case, DO I STILL NEED TO TAKE THE IELTS EXAM OR NOT? I do not think I was able to find an answer for my question on the province's pnp website. thanks

Assuming you were nominated outside the Express Entry system and you are going to submit a paper-based application, you would most probably still need to provide language test results.

See this checklist (Doc. No. 12):

I think, it depends on your nomination scheme/category. So, you would have to consult your province and/or IRCC for further advice.

Generally, here's what's required for PNP paper-based PR applications:

If you read this comment and check the link, the document checklist I mentioned is the first document listed under application package for Provincial nominees.

Hi,

thanks so much for your response, but according to the checklist IELTS will be required for the C and D categories. Item #12 in the checklist:

I am working let's say in the category A and/or B.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5690E.pdf

Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!

I think, if it's required for semi or low-skilled professions, it must be mandatory for high-skilled jobs, as well. But again, as I've stated earlier, your best bet is to check directly with IRCC or your nominating province.

Good luck! :)

Lets say if I send a paper based application for PR to Alberta through provincial nomination without being nominated, what are the chances of sucess that Alberta or any other province for that matter will nominate me?
