Hey guys

I have been looking at this forum for a few days now and its an excellent source of information. I just completed my second year of work and finally have enough points to apply under the FSW program. I am starting to work on my application and plan to send it out to NS in the first week of october. Before I do that I have a few questions .Since a lot of you are further along in the process that I am i hope it would help.

1.) My current work experience is

Noc 0111 : Financial Manager 5 months
NOC 1111: Accountant 1 year 2 months
Other NOC Credit manager 0122 7 months

Just wondering what would count as the 1 year in the NOC list i mean can they count my first and second jobs ?

2.) My first job was in a firm owned by a close relative. is this an issue ? Should this be declared somewhere in my main application ? And if i declare this in my main application would this be a problem for the local CHC Islamabad?

3.) My second job was at a multi national bank in Pakistan. However I performed almost all of the duties under NOC 1111. The problem is that since I had very little prior experience I was hired under a third part contract agreement ( this is very common in the banking sector). I contacted the company that hired me and they said that they wont be able to issue a letter stating my duties plainly because they have no idea what I did at the job. The HR department at the bank wont issue me a letter because I want an employee at that point. Can I get a letter from my immediate supervisor which states my duties and responsibilities at that time ?( I want to get this letter now as my boss might be planning to leave his Job and I don't know if the next person would be willing to issue that letter). Also my bank is in the process of re branding and I don't know how the HR policy would change if I did that.

4.) Can I attache the business card of my boss to the letter stating my duties and responsibilities just to ensure that if he leaves they can contact him on his mobile phone. This would be important at the time of verification of my duties i guess.

5.) I am claiming 16 points for my language do I have to give the IELTS before I apply. I am planning to study for it before giving it and this might delay the submission of my application

6.) For the funds required to get to Canada. My parents are sponsoring me. Can I add my name to his account and send a bank statement of my fathers account and a letter confirming they are sponsoring me.If not I would prefer to wait till i get my 120 day letter to transfer the funds to my account . Would that be a problem? And finally can i deposit the funds in a local currency?

7.) When is the verification of documents performed i.e. before medical / after medical before interview / after interview.

8.) Finally do interviews ever get waived in Pakistan ? I am very nervous at interview.

Hope someone can answer my questions .

Good look to everyone in their applications

You will get points for all your NOCs
2.) My first job was in a firm owned by a close relative. is this an issue ? Should this be declared somewhere in my main application ? And if i declare this in my main application would this be a problem for the local CHC Islamabad?

They don,t ask about the ownership of the firm where you are working. One more thing give them details they require only and don,t think to give irrelevant information shall strengten your case
3.) My second job was at a multi national bank in Pakistan. However I performed almost all of the duties under NOC 1111. If you can get a letter from your supervsior, then its more than enough. Also attach your contract letter and anything else you have to prove your job
4.) Can I attache the business card of my boss to the letter stating my duties and responsibilities just to ensure that if he leaves they can contact him on his mobile phone. This would be important at the time of verification of my duties i guess.

YES
5.) I am claiming 16 points for my language do I have to give the IELTS before I apply. I am planning to study for it before giving it and this might delay the submission of my application

You can send your application without IELTS but need to send it with all other supporting documents after approval from NS
6.) For the funds required to get to Canada. My parents are sponsoring me. Can I add my name to his account and send a bank statement of my fathers account and a letter confirming they are sponsoring me.If not I would prefer to wait till i get my 120 day letter to transfer the funds to my account . NO
YES

Depends on visa office but most probably before medical but they can do verify everything even on the day visa stamped
8.) Finally do interviews ever get waived in Pakistan ? I am very nervous at interview.
