When I start the section of work history,
it says:
This is how we will determine your eligibility for federal programs. You will need to know the job title and the NOC for the primary occupation and for any other jobs you add, as well as for any job offer

It says you will need to know the job title and the NOC.
But my situation is my NOC is 2172. Under that NOC, I see a list of job titles.
But what is shown on my contract is Data Analyst, and there is no identical ones in that list of job titles.
Should I use the one on my work contract or pick up a similar one on the list?
Or that list are just example?
Thanks in advance.

Here is a link that might help you pick a right Job title that follows your NOC Code.

http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=122372&CVD=122376&CPV=2172&CST=01012011&CLV=4&MLV=4

Good Luck

While selecting the NOC, the duties and responsibilities mentioned in the NOC should be a close match with the actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you at the respective job. You need not match the duties and responsibilities word by word, but the idea is to have the closest match in terms of the spirit of the duties and responsibilities (at least 60%-70% match).

Also, NOC should be selected on the basis of the match of actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you rather than the designation match in the NOC list. In your Express Entry profile, you can still mention the title as per official records, but ensure that you choose the correct NOC.

If you are not sure of your NOC, write to noc@workingincanada.gc.ca with your job title, duties and responsibilities and educational qualification, they will help you find the closest fit.

Thank you very much stanlee!!!
So just confirm with you, I'm pretty sure my NOC code is correct. So the job title doesn't matter, right? I just put data analyst, which appears on the work contract, that'll be fine, right? Don't have to worry about the ones on their example lists, right?
Correct, as long as your duties and responsibilities match the NOC you've chosen the job title does not matter.

Cheers ;)
