Hello everyone!

I should be receiving my IA pretty soon, but I have a question. My wife is going to have a baby in October, which by than I should have my IA for sure. What should I do when I receive the request to do my medicals? Do I need to contact CIC? Do I need to have the medical done in certain time period? My wife is almost 8 months pregnant, and as long as I understand she can not take X-rays.

Thank you.

Wait till the IA arrives; u'll be given information on adding new dependents. until then wishing your family a safe delivery

Thats why I suggested you wait. Ususally when it comes (i.e your IA) it also informs you on what to do when there is a change in your family composition ....So wait for the IA een if it comes after your child is born wait...then add the child. Its quite a simple process. You cannot add a new dependent now anyway because the child is not yet born.

Hello everyone!

I am on the situation as USBR, but I have received my IA and medicals paper work today August 13th.My wife is pregnant and the Baby will not be born until October, but I only have 60 days to submit my medicals.

Can anyone help me by telling me what I should do with the medicals?

Do I have to tell CIC that my wife is pregnant now or only when the baby is born?

Thank you.

Traveler74 ...Inform them about an upcoming birth of your baby since you have received your medicals request and wait for their instructions ...On the medical form you received ; they would have indicated that you inform them of any upcoming changes in your family composition. So just inform them. Congrats on your upcoming new baby. Everything is going to be alright. Goodluck

Thank you qbanky.

Yes, that is what I did. I actually emailed them and they told me to wait until the baby is born, and once the baby is born I will have to submit the paper work for the baby and then they will send medicals for the baby as well. They also told me to fax or send a letter to CIC informing the upcoming birth.

Thats it. They are nice about such things . Once your baby arrives, just process the birth certificate as quickly as possible and send all the documents with new filled forms for dependents and they will send you the medical forms. Goodluck you are almost there and congrats on ur baby again!

Just so everyone knows, I sent a letter to CIC letting them know that my wife was expecting and they emailed me back saying to wait to complete all medicals until after the baby is born. Once the baby is born we will submit his documents and they will send the baby’s medicals paperwork.

Thanks qbanky and everyone else.
