Dear Someone,

I would like to Share my Experience as follows :

All went well upto interview.

On 14 th Decemeber 2006 (My case was proceesed from Colombo) I had my Medical Exam...

During Our medical test, (Me , My Wife, 1 Daugther, 2 sons) all were cleared except myself, since my urine
showed signs of Protien 1 gm / L (+2), which according to the doctor was nothing to be worried but yes it
should be looked into. Hence he asked for ultra sound.

Upon UltraSound I was shocked to know that I am a person born with 1 Kidney (1 Ultra Sound said one kidney, where as the other one said that 1 is small hence not traceable and things like that). Everything
else was ok, no sugar / no clostroal / no nothing. The kidney present was working fine as reported in the
ultra sound

I also did some research on my own and was reliefed to know that having 1 kidney is normal and is not
considered a disease or something.

My Question to anyone who can answer is.

Will this effect my case, however I am already taking medicines to take care of the protein issue.

DMP's comments was I maybe refered to an speicialist or maybe not.

After the medical exam and everything, My office was contacted for Reference etc, which has been send
back to them. Does this mean a good sign.

Thanks in Advance

Reasonably a good sign, but the DMP is probably right, that you will be medically furthered, until the protein in the urine is cleared, and Colombo may ask for a specialist opinion on the single kidney.

Dear PMM,

Many thanks for a positive and prompt reply. Really do appreciate that.

One thing more, it is almost 3 months since my medicals have been send, people say normally after such a long time they do not ask for
further medical. What do you say PMM. I will take your word for this.

Regards

dsquad, I had the same issue like yours protein in urine, and the DMP said nothing to worry about. After exact one and half month I was asked by Ottawa to retake the urinalysis this time there wasn't any protein; hence it was all clear the second time. So if you took meds and its already been 3 months I assume you are fine and good to go. Cos they would not wait 3 months for retesting. Goodluck

Dear Friend,

First of all I should say you should not worry about your medical situation. Already you have been cleared. Believe me.

Because, I too have the similar problem and therefore collected lot of information and found that such medical situation would not be a problem for obtaining PR visa.

I also applied in Colombo, 2004 under skill category. Would you let me know your timeline please.

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for divulging your timeline. If you do not mind would you let us know what is your profession and what is your score at the point test. I just want to guess whether I would get an interview waiver or not. The other this is how do they contact our office? Do they sent some forms to be filled by our employer?. And who is the Doctor conducted your medical test? In addition, do you know any other thread of Sri Lankans who are waiting or recently received their skill migration visa?

Buy the way, when you get a reply from the embassy kindly let us know please.

I wish you all the success in you future life in Canada.

Kind regards,

amalFern
