96DPI minimum resolution for document...blurry?

According to CIC website, scans should have a resolution higher than 96DPI and PDF files should not exceed 4MB.

I am compressing my documents to 100DPI, higher than the minimum, but they look a little blurry to me. It's legible but really uncomfortable to read. Can't afford to go higher though.

Has anyone gone to 96DPI? Does the look bother you?

You can have a 100000DPI document look very fuzzy. DPI is the minimum threshold of how clear a document can be.

Almost everything you see on a windows screen is rendered 96 DPI. Those buttons and forms are still sharp aren't they?

You should choose a proper method to compress your document.

Scan at higher DPI to look it clear then compress using tools
