Hi I have been working in Canada with a work permit (French-speaking mobility) for several years in Alberta, at the end of 2024 I will be eligible to apply for permanent residence but the problem is last month I was arrested by the police for driving with alcohol in Sylvan lake AB. I got a 90 day license suspension, the officer told me
"this is not a criminal charge and will only appear on your driver's abstract"
It' was my first occurence , I wanted to know, I hope this will not penalize me for a future work permit or for an application for permanent residence? The police officer confirmed that no but I prefer to be sure.
So I hope you can help me to understand to make sure.
