Dear All,

I am going to apply for the citizenship recently, but I have a question regarding 6E Addresses in past 4 years.

I am an undergraduate student, and my situation is that my parents live in Vancouver, but I study in Toronto. So, most of time I stay in Toronto, but my permanent home address is the one in Vancouver. How should I fill these? Can there be overlaps between two addresses? For example, can I go:

2012-XX-XX to 2014-11-30 the address in Toronto
2011-XX-XX to 2014-11-30 the permanent home address in Vancouver?

Also, my parents lived at a friend's house (for free, so no formal documents) while building our own house in Vancouver; I also stayed there for about 2 weeks before my first term started. Should I also include this address? If I do, then when will be the start time of my home address--the time when we purchased it or when we actually moved in?

Thanks a lot for your help!!

:)

It's very simple just put the address where you actually lived from xx to xx. If you're student in Toronto and you go to spend march break with your parent you're still residing in Toronto and your stay with your parent is temporary. No need to include the address where you spent 2 weeks before your first term started, instead you include the permanent address where you lived. but if that's the only place you had available to live then that's your residential place even if it's for 2 weeks and you need to mention it
Expl
if I lived from Jan 2010 to March 2013 in address 1 but I spent 2 weeks vacation with my parent in Feb 2013 then I don't need to include the 2 weeks address because it's temporary and I have my permanent residence. but if I lived from jan 2010 to March 2013 in address 1 and sold my house end of March 2013, stayed with a friend for 2 weeks then I bought or rented a new house then I need to include my friend's address for the 2 weeks because that's the only official address I had while looking for another place.
Hope this helps

Thanks!! This does help a lot.

Will they be super nasty about the EXACT dates of when I moved in and moved out from one residence to another? :-[

I am afraid I can not remember clearly when exactly I moved out from my student accommodation and moved into the current condo....Also, will they ask me to provide evidence such as receipt, rental agreement etc.?
