Considering my stay at the start of the 4 year period spans from before the 4th year – what date should I start?

Eg: 4 year period is apr 2011 to apr 2015. One of my addresses/stay is from oct 2010 to sep 2011. Should I list this as oct 2010 to sep 2011 (or) apr 2011 to sep 2011?

I was in the same situation. I only mentioned 4 year period information.
You should enter apr 2011 to sep 2011. i don't think so if there could be any issues if you mention oct 2010 to sep 2011.
I think the officer needs to know 4 year relevant period. They don't consider anything before or after 4 years for citizenship consideration.
