Question 11. Are you currently living in Canada? I answered 'Yes'
I will be returning from a 5 weeks trip from Vietnam. Do I put down the date I came back from Vietnam? Is this what the form is asking me?
many thanks. cheers.

Since when have you been living in Canada (vacations are temporary absences - you didn't move away) this most recent time? In other words, assuming you lived outside of Canada at some point in your life, when did you last move back to Canada to live in Canada?

Ahh ok. I did live in California for 2 years and came back to Canada sometime in 1998. Now problem is, I dont remember the exact date I came back to Canada,it has been so long. How do I answer this? Do I just write on a separate paper explaning I dont remember the exact date? cheers.

Use * for the month and day if you can't recall them - put in the date - and then explain it either right next to the question or on a separate sheet of paper. It shouldn't be a problem since you've been in Canada for a long time (the question relates to intent to move).

If you really want to fill it in, check your old passport - the stamps have a wealth of info!
