Hi!
So, before I applied in the lottery , I read all the requirements and I was eligible. Now , after I got invitation to apply, I was filling up this form IMM1344e and it states:

'in the five years preceding your application, did you become a permanent resident after being sponsored as spouse' - - I got my PR in 2017 and no where in eligibility something like this was mentioned.

Am I getting confused? Can someone please clarify? Also, I was here since 2015 and have my taxes applied for past 3 years, that is not my concern.

This has nothing to do with parent sponsorship. It only applies if you were sponsored by a spouse, then split up and wanted to then sponsor your new spouse.

It states right on the form: "If you answer "Yes" to question 5 AND you are sponsoring a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, you are not eligible to be a sponsor and you should NOT submit your application."
