5 year ban

Good day everyone.

My friend was banned for 5 years due to "hiding relevant information" she was asked about her us visa refusals in her study permit application and she did not hide or lied about them, she explained that she was underage and did not receive much information about it but they still said she was hiding information and proceeded with the ban. We want to appeal this decision, we requested the notes from the council to proceed with a lawyer but we would like any recommendations or if someone went through this process.

Did she disclose her visa refusal even with limited information? (she doesn't know exact date that visa was refused but she can still put down "yes" for refusal and write a letter of explaination )

If she didn't and only response to PFL with her explaination of underage after the fact, then it's likley not good. She could try to find a lawyer to appeal. I am not sure about that process.
