Hi,

If you teach as a Computer instructor in a private school does it qualify under 4131? I figure i get some opinions from real people as immigrations agents say it does as it is a vocational instructor. and majority of the duties listed under 4131 apply.

Also if the file is sent to CIO Sydney and they see that its a private school and still accept it does that mean the Visa office cant in the future say it does not apply under the category 4131? is that correct? I mean once sydney approves it under the category can the visa office reject it ? Providing all the documents are there to prove it i.e leters from the school and business cards etc.

Thanks for your help

I previously thought that once Sydney approves it then the visa office will approve provided the documents prove exactly as what was said to Sydney, but lately I think, Sydney doesn't get much information so they may give the applicant the benefit of the doubt and approve it. Once it goes to the visa office, they check it against all documents and may still decline it. So for example, to sydney I could write as a manager that one of my duties is to manage a budget. Then say to the visa office, my employment letter says, i manage the entertainment budget of $2000 per year :)

I am not able to answer your question about 4131 but perhaps you could explain what you mean by private school. Is it a high school or university, etc.

Well i have 1.5 years of experience from about 5 years ago from a computer training institution which teaches adults etc. My title was that of a computer instructor and my duties matched those in the category to a certain extent. So i think i can use that but also provide the school experience.

What do you think?
