4 Years Gap After Secondary level ?????

Hi Friends,

I have been refused 2 times, and now its became around 4 years gap after secondary level.

Schooling with 83%,
Secondary level with 74% in Science (Biology),
IELTS score 7.5 not less than 7 in each band

Tried to study medicine around 1 and half years in my own Country Nepal......I do have certificate of Entrance Preparation from Nepals reputed Medical Entrance Preparation Institute.

From than I have work experience of NGO as a capacity of Helath Care Worker to till date

I have also completed CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) 1 years Course and Some papers of ACCA but now I want to hide these certificates as I have

- Secondary level science,
- Medical Entrance Preparation Course and
- Health related Work Experience

I want to study Bio related subject in Canada. Biotechnology Technologist-Industrial Microbiology (Co-op). Please advice me

1. What will be the best option........all these showing things will help me out to account my gap or I must show my accounting degree?
2. I have applied without accounting degree before, if I have shown this now.....will it be the negative marking?

What were the reasons for your previous 2 refusals?

The very first I was refused stating that

My parents are not well establish in my own country,
My income and property in not sufficient to justify my study
and the Purpose of study is not reasonable in light...........

Now in September intake there was only one reason is

The purpose of study is not reasonable in light........means the Visa Officer pointed the chosen course and the course was 2 years Diploma Programme. biotechnology.

1. As your previous education was in Accounting and you were opting for Biotechnology therefore, the VO wasn't satisfied with your course selection option. If you want to show your CAT (as you should because it will decrease your study gap) therefore, you should get admission in some course relating to account/finance etc.

2. The change in course selection from Biotechnology to Accounting won't affect much, you can also explain the switch in a paragraph or two's essay.

3. It is also good to see your caips note before applying for the 3rd time.

Thank you for your prompt response........actually the Accounting Degree (CAT) has been completely hidden in both time. And my secondary level education is in Science, i.e, Biology. So there should not be course mismatch. Do you think it happens?

Now this is third time I am going to apply as the reason of refusal is only one. Do you think....it will be in my favor if i disclose my accounting degree now and switch from Health related programme to accounting?

No, I don't think showing your accounting background will help your visa case if you intend to study biotechnology. Secondly, you 4 years gap is also a negative thing on your profile.

Yes you are right, but plse advice what to do? Go for health related subject as I applied before with same work experience and Entrance preparation Certificate or

Move to Accounting with CAT certificate (That will be completely new documents that I haven,t shown in CHC) ?

I think you should go for this 2nd option. Show your CAT certificate and get admission in Accounting course, you can switch courses once you are in Canada. Reapplying with same profile won't help. This is my personal thinking, wait for other's view on your case as well.

hi sarroji,
I suggest you not to disclose about your accounting career because you might have done accounting diploma like 2-3 years back and you applied for study permit without providing any information about accounting. Now if in future you opt to change your course from science field to business field then VO will doubt that the certificate for accounts which you're providing is duplicate because you hadn't shown that or revealed anything about that when filing application previously. He'll consider this as a fraudulent information and will blacklist for 2 years.
My suggestion is that you must take your time and find out appropriate course after +2. Justify your gap by explaining it in SOP.

Such a bright profile but i think you did not reveal your financial grounds clearly to them
and ofcourse 4 years gap is a big dent on your profile

The hidden profile is .......in this huge gap I have done CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) in 1 and half year duration and Some papers of ACCA, this is a Chartered Certified Accounting Course of UK. Tuition Centre is here in Nepal and the exam conduct by British council......the VO will not doubt as I can also provide my ID and Candidate no of ACCA registration in UK.

But I am still being confuse which will be the best option?

1. Apply for study Biotechnology with Entrance preparation certificate and Work experience or
2. Show all the accounting degree that was hidden before and apply Accounting
3. Show all the accounting degree and apply Biotechnology stating the scope and the change of my mentality.
