Guys do we have to work at least 24 months or 104 weeks to be eligible to apply under CEC.
Else
Is it enough if we have 3900 hrs of experience within less than 24 months.

Say in my case I work 40 hrs/week, does that mean I am eligible to apply under CEC after 97.5 continuous weeks (which is approx. 22.5 months) of joining work or I have to work 104 weeks or 24 months.

I've already applied, in my employment letter work experience of 105 weeks in 24 months + 1days (Sept. 13, 2010 to Sept. 14, 2012) with total 4200 of hours of work experience is mentioned

Extract from CEC guide 5609 is below

Experience requirements: Work experience as a Temporary Foreign Worker

You must have obtained the equivalent of 24 months of full-time or full-time equivalent (one week is 37.5 hours of work) Canadian skilled work experience at NOC Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B. This work experience must have been acquired in Canada (within 36 months preceding the date the application is made*).

You do not have to be employed at the time of the application.

*The application is considered to have been made on the date a properly completed application package is received by the visa office.

I'm pretty sure that what they want is your 24 months and your work hours. In other words you have to accomplish both requirements. Months and hours.

I hope a senior can clarify this, but I've seen many cases being rejected 'cus they send it before the proper time.

cheers.

Yes (in the foreign worker stream) - this is a minimum.

No. If you apply with less than 24 months the application will be refused

or I have to work 104 weeks or 24 months.

I have 4200 in 24 months (2 years) + 1 day ... is that problem
Have you worked at least 24 months?
Have you worked at least at least 37.5 hours per week?

If the answer is yes to both before you submit your application, then you are OK.

Yes. But trick part is my employment letter says I have work 24 months and 1 days (but 4200 Hours) of working experience till the issued date of the letter.

Which is tight thats why I am worried. But I am still working. I am thinking to send them yet another letter in January 2013 (which will have 28 months of work experience)

Yes I worked for 40 hrs/week

If the answer is yes to both before you submit your application, then you are OK.

And by the way is there any documentation where it is stated that applicant have to work for least 24 months. In the guide it says "Equivalent of 24 months of full-time experience within last 36 months from the date when application is made"

Don't bother, they cannot consider any experience after you submit your application.

You should be OK, as long as there were no gaps in your employment during those 2 years.

no gaps ... Letter was issued on Sept. 17, 2012 and has the following info. (plus my pay, number of hours per week in average, roles, responsibility, recommendation to CIC officers and so on)

Sept. 13, 2010 - Dec. 31, 2010: 16 Weeks/640 Hours and XXXXX$
Jan. 1, 2011 - Dec. 31, 2011: 52 Weeks/2080 Hours and XXXXX$
Jan. 1, 2012 - Sept. 14, 2012: 37 Weeks/1480 Hours and XXXXX$

Um... isn't that enough? What's the confusion?

(The "equivalent" part refers to the equivalent in part-time work of 24 months of full-time work)

Or, here -
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

a temporary foreign worker with at least two years of full-time (or equivalent) skilled work experience in Canada...

Well, unless there's something you're not saying, I don't see why it would be rejected. But yes, I usually suggest giving yourself some "cushion" of time...
