My visit pass will expire this august 20 and i already made an application to extend it for another 6 months or more. I had a baby 5 months ago, and i am on a maternity leave right now until december this year, i am currently living with the father of my child for 7 months, unfortunately we can declare common law yet until december and thats the reason why i have to extend my stay as a visitor. in my application, he wrote a letter stating that he'll be responsible for helping me have the permanent residency status here in Canada by sponsoring me under common law/spousal sponsorship.
now, my questions are : do we have a big chance of having it approved?, if not , what is the next step that we should do?
one more question, this might seem irrelevant to my situation, but what if the person applies for a visa extension less than 30 days before the previous one expires, what would happen?
