I feel that my question is simply.....but I am struggling!

My dad was born in Canada in 1949.

I was born in the UK in 1975. I was registered at birth in 1975 for citizenship and obtained my Canadian passport in 2000.

My children were born in the UK in 2004, 2005 and 2007.

I didn't register them for citizenship.

My question is can I register them now or does the 2009 act mean that as I didn't register them then they have lost it?

I just took the test on the website and it looks like they are citizens so I am going to submit an application.

It would be great if they are as I thought that I had messed it up by not registering them!!

Yes, since you were a Canadian citizen when your children were born AND they were born before 2009, they are Canadian citizens. Births abroad did not have to be registered after 1977.
