2174 with non computer science degree

Hi,

I have degree in Electrical Engineering followed by almost 20 years of I.T experience.

Is it really mandatory to have degree in computer science in order to apply for 2174?

Or there are ways so that my experience and my degree together can be considered for 2174

Can some one please advise ?

"A bachelor's degree in computer science or in another discipline with a significant programming component
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required."

It comes down to how you interpret "usually required", and there are never any guarantees. Personally I suspect that with 20 years experience and an EE degree you will be OK.
