2147 or 2174 CAP REACHED OR NOT FOR THIS YEAR 2014?

Hi Team,

First of all I wanna thank all the admins who put their best foot forward to answer all the questions with patience. I am Bharath from Hyderabad, India. I am looking to apply for the PR under 2147 or 2174 NOC category, so does the CAP might have reached by now?. I know we cannot answer that question EXACTLY whether the CAP has been filled for sure but give me your valuable suggestion.

and one more question.....

I DONT see the 2147 (Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers) is listed in the "Eligible Occupation" list ( I copied the related link below). So, they DONT consider that (2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers) category now?. Can I apply under that category or not?. Please explain.

Hi Bharath,
It's all depends when you submit the application, what exp you have got as 2147 is not available at for 2014 but as per my knowledge there are similarities to NOC-2281... try to apply ASAP and also want to tell you that 2174 is in hot race...

Hi Sunnypandu,

Thanks for your response. Actually "2281 Computer network technicians" is more suitable NOC for me than 2147 . I am Systems Administrator (in Linux,UNIX) by profession. I also see the 'systems administrator' in the list of titles in 2281 NOC. Thanks a lot

I have couple of more questions....

- My recent job says 'Systems Engineer' in job offer letter which is not in the list of titles (2281) but my previous work experience from Jan 2009 - Feb 2012 ('almost 3 years') is titled as systems administrator so """ I am qualified """ as per the rule below rite?.

""""You must have one year of continuous, full-time (or an equal amount of part-time) paid work experience, in at least one of these occupations within the last ten years""""

- Though my current job title is Systems Engineer as I said above but my duties are similar to previous , so CIC will consider my current job also or they go with the job titles ONLY includent in the list of titles.

- If the quota gets filled before my application proceed further then I will get refund?.
