Hi,
2023 anyone applying from Quebec? I submitted April 2023 and nothing yet.
IRCC told me that they are working on my background check (on the website it says not applicable but it is just a filler) and of course eligibility hasn't started yet. This was in January 2025 but nothing has change on the account at least. I haven't called recently. According to IRCC it is 45 months currently, so I would expect the PR by the end of 2026/beginning of 2027

It is my opinion, but I dont think to do this is good idea.
Canada is full of scammers. Not good share your personal information in a public forum like these.
Here we are anonimous. Share info just for to have an idea how is the process going. Nobody really need to know other person personal information.
Double check what are you doing.
The emails are provided so we can edit the forms in the future. It's not on the sheet but I understand where you're coming from. I created it to make it easier for us to track as you can miss messages on here. If you have another suggestion, I'm open to hearing it.
Jan 5, 2023 applicant (security still in progress for spouse in Canada) mine passed, that is really frustrating
It seems like the wait is going to be extremely long especially for those who applied after June. I dont think we will be hearing any news before 2026. I really do believe that our time over 24 months should still be counted towards citizenship, i dont understand why this isn’t the case already.
Anyways, the good news for me is that I have been accepted to medical school so hopefully that will help kill the wait time for the next few years till I get my citizenship (this also took A LOT of work and waiting lol). I won’t be visiting this forum much after September because of school but will keep everyone updated if I hear back anything from IRCC (Oct 27 2023 is my application submission date). Also, there’s too many racists and haters on here so I definitely need a little break lol. There is a groupme if anyone is interested in joining (link in my signature).
