2023 Parents/Grandparents Sponsorship Income

I submitted my PR parents sponsorship application in December 2023 and provided Notices of Assessment (NOA) for 2020, 2021, and 2022. As of now, my application is still in process. However, my 2023 income no longer meets the requirement. Will this affect my application?

Any insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

It may or it may not. Technically you have to maintain the income requirements until the application is approved. So if IRCC decides to verify income, it will be an issue. But it's also possible they won't check.

If they wanna check it. will they have the assess to my CRA to check the 2023 NOA directly? Or they'll require it from me?

Did you give IRCC access to your CRA info?

You should assume they have access to it

When it comes to compliance they typically won’t rely on people for the information

yes, but I thought it's only for the last three years

no, you need maintain your income level until the parents becomes PR.

I thought it was general approval to verify income levels during the sponsorship and application period but have not viewed the application recently.
