Good Day,

Hope all is well. I have been approved to sponsor my Mom and her papers are in process at CPC. I got married June 2019 and reported this thankfully my income still meets the requirements (3; me, mom and husband for 2018, 2017 and 2016.) I researched and found out that I can add my spouse as a cosigner if there is a change in my family size.

I am expecting my first child (estimated due date feb 5, 2021) which will increase my family size to 4 if reassessed. I would like to include my husband as a co signer, unfortunately I was laid off my March to July 2020 due to Covid which will reflect on my 2020 notice of assessment. I was back to work end of July part time but had to be on sick leave 2nd week of nov 2020 due to pregnancy issues. I am afraid this will affect my sponsorship once I am reassessed after I report the birth of my child since my income is a lot less but adding my husband as a cosigner will definitely get us to meet the LICO requirement.

My questions are:

1. How much time do I have to report my newborn and what do I need to send IRCC, do I wait until I have the baby's birth certificates?
2. Should I also email IRCC via webform of my intention to add my husband as a cosigner and provide them rationale that we are expecting our first child so I can prepare whatever forms they ask me to submit?
3. Since the date preceding my application was May 2019 will they assess me and my husband for 3 years prior of will they reasses us to date?
4. Does being on medical leave due to pregnancy and eventually on maternity leave affect my sponsorship?

I hope someone can answer me. Thank you in advance and stay safe.
