2012/2012 Citizenship Applicants still waiting for their Oath Ceremony

Hello

My citizenship application story is too long !
Applied: September/2012
In Process: Feb/2013
RQ Received: April/2013
RQ Sent: May/2013
Received a letter in January/2014 to prepare for a test but no test date just a random letter to prepare for test
Finally Received a letter to appear before citizenship officer to write test in Jul/2016 passed test 20/20 and passed interview
As per the citizenship officer, all clearance are done except immigration clearance CO has advised me that it will take a week or months wait for 6 months and we will invite you for oath in next 6 months

I have ordered my ATIP - and immigration clearance- suspended - that is really freaking me out
contacted MP's same answer they are doing a background check on your application

it is almost 5 year I wonder what kind of background they are checking on my application

I have no interview with CJ's neither CIC has asked for any additional documents nor any communication from their end.

Today is almost 6 months passed after I passed my test - but there is no oath invite.

wondering if anyone is here who has similar experience

Thing is you have waited too much. In 2015 end or beginning of 2016, you could have filed for Mandamus which would have brought significant attention to your file but now you may be wasting time as they may be asking to take the oath anytime.

still if you dont mind the cost I would suggest to file a Mandamus. see 2012 to 2015 is more than 36 months so you are way over the RQ processing time at that point. so you could have filed Mandamus.

All the best. I suggest if it does not affect your life that much forget it and enjoy the holidays. Nothing will happen in CIC during holidays. In mid Jan something may happen.
