If your parents are in Canada then they would apply and answer yes for your first question. As the sponsor you would say no because it is on behalf of your parents. However remember to send copy of consent form signed by your parents. You can scan and send copy as attachment.

You will put the name of the principal applicant who's information you are requesting.

Thanks Soonihope!!

Just my opinion but does it seem like work on processing cases for PGP's from our batch and even the May-Nov 2011 batch has almost come to a stop in 2016.

Last year in Jan-Feb time lots of sponsorship approvals and file movement, this year nothing is happening.

No PPR for any of us and there is yet to be a single person who has sponsorship approval from the next batch.

Wow I had expected after the elections that things would be be much faster at least in the beginning. This ongoing waiting everyday is so frustrating and disappointing.

I know other than wait we have no choice but some days it can be upsetting to feel so helpless the way the system functions.

The focus is on Syrian refugees. Immigration officers are being relocated from other visa offices (London/New delhi etc.) to help out them process faster. It is the hot thing these days. Everyone is excited about them. For us we have to wait.

I hope to hear from my MP's office this week and I will keep everyone posted.

The office told me that they have a 'special' reserved line at cic and they do get a reply from cic.

I really hope that they might be able get find something more than 'in process'

Fingers crossed ......,.

Just received Passport request ! Didn't read it all yet. Just wanted to post on here. :)

Just received another e-mail from CIC as a response to our case-specific inquiry.

"This is to acknowledge receipt of your sponsorship application and to advise that your file is presently
pending review by an officer. You will be contacted in the future if further information is required or as
soon as the decision on your application is finalized."

The e-mail had a PDF attachment.

Hi everyone, just wandering, at the first time I submitted all the required documents, except the police certificates, due to need several months to process them for my parents, we may or may not submit at the same time, one month later, I received a letter confirmed that( AOR), my application is now in the processing queue, on the letter mentions do not send any additional information separate from already submitted application, unless otherwise requested. Any unsolicited information will be returned to u unprocessed.
Anyone experienced the same situation? Should I submit the police certificates before files transfer to 2nd visa office or wait for the requested? Thx

Congratulations. I can feel it tooooooo.

Did medicals 3days before you.

Can't wait anymore now :-(

Waiting to get PPR. Hopefully will get within this month.

My mother is visiting Pakistan and sister (dependent) is in Canada. When the ppr will come will she need to come back to Pakistan to send passports with principal applicant or she can send passport to Ottawa for herself? Also, what is the process of entry. Once visa is issued dependant has to take entry at the same time as of principal applicant or they can come after?

Thanks

Fantastic news.

Finally someone has good news.

Congrats.

One question were you asked to resend police certificates or did you just send them once back in 2014 when we received document request.

I was not asked for new Police info. I was just asked to send passports with the form.

Here is the Step 4. quoted from email

-------------------------------------------

STEP 4: Prepare your documents

You must submit together:

1. One copy of this letter.

2. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2.

3. Two (2) photos of yourself and each accompanying family member respecting precise specifications that can be found at:

In 2. It says photocopy of passport as explained in step 2. Is this for people from visa exempt countries.

Also would you be kind enough to post the photo specification link.
Thanks
