I applied in july,2006( file no. in sept6'2006).I think they are asking for update of documents to 2005 applicants.Anybody applied in 2005(after Oct) have receive the update letter.

Hai Rajan,

I applied in May 2006 through a consultant and they informed last june 2009 that, they have updated the document which we have still interested to process, upto now we did not get any reply after that. waiting for their reply.

I've applied in Feb 2005, in Jan 2009, I was asked to submit my updated papers....
Eversince then i haven't received any correspondence from the HC.

Wonder,if any one can put some light on my case

Hi,
Every applicant (who has applied under old system) had received the letter with regard to continuance/confirmment of case whether or not are still interested in immigrating to canada or you want take back your refund(between Dec2008 to march,2009) These letters were sent by them with a motive to decrease their pendency load, if some or any no. of applicants withdreww their cases,it will help to reduce their load.

Hi Ripu,
My three colleagues have applied in the year 2004(July,Aug,Nov)and two of them had submitted their updated documents in 2008 and one in 2009(submitted his documents late but in time,he also receive another letter with regard to submission of copy of his son passport copies),they are still waiting for any response/medicals. I will let you know whenever they receive any response.

I have applied in 3rd Dec 2004 and got File No. in Feb 2005 . I sent my updated documents to New Delhi in Jan 2009 but still waiting for medicals. My E-cas is showing file processing started from 12th Feb 2005.

Is it wise decision to apply under Fast track categary by my wife(as I am Principal applicant & applied in 29th june,2006) my wife is having a 3 years experiecnce(from 2001 to 2003)as a lectrurer(Fisheries science) however my category does not fall under new fast track category.

Or to wait for another 1/5year to 2 years.

I have applied to Calgary in Dec 2004. Recent I got a Letter from Alberta Government which they mentioned abot a Welcome Kit ...............

Is there someone else who hav also received the same letter from Alberta Govt.

If yes, What does it mean?

Hello Everyone!

I too received a Welcome to Alberta Kit letter a few weeks back. I followed the instructions and registered online. Two days ago, I have already received the Welcome to Alberta Kit that they mentioned. It contained the following: A magazine about alberta, a map of alberta and 2010 Calendar of Alberta. To those who have received the kit, please let me know if your received the same contents or were there other documents that you received apart from those I just mentioned. Sadly, it does not contain anything from the Embassy (CIC). This leads me to the conclusion that it is just a way for the government of alberta to market their province to those aspiring immigrants but nothing related to the processing of my application which I submitted to CIC. I hope I am wrong because I really want my application to get approved already.

If there is somebody there who knows more about this, please enlighten us so that we will know if we are already to expect the approval of our applications in a few months time or should we not expect as it would still take a long time (probably a couple more years). Thanks.
