Initially, I was enrolled in a one-year program at College “A” , starting in September 2023. For my second year, I transferred to College “B” , where I began studying in September 2024, with my program set to conclude by April 30, 2025.
Recently, I learned about the new study permit regulations that took effect on November 8, 2024. I wanted to clarify a few things:
- If I don’t update my DLI but continue with my current study permit, will it impact my eligibility for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)?
- Since I obtained my study permit before the new rule was implemented, do I still need to apply for a new study permit because I changed institutions?
- Does IRCC check DLI transfers when processing PGWP applications?
