2 work permits

Hi I have a friend who has applied for a work
Permit in one fast food company. She has been approved and issued WP. She used to work in a pizza house as contract worker before applying for another job.she said her work permit in her first job hasn't expired yet. Can she work in both companies as she still has valid work permit that is still expires May of 2014?

No she cannot work both jobs, even if the first work permit says that it is not expired yet. Basically what happens is when CIC issues a new work permit the previous one becomes void. You can only work 2 jobs if you have an open work permit. Works as many as you can. lol.

Thanks for the info. That's what I was thinking too. If that is the case then there will be lots of people under TFW or work permit who have multiple jobs I don't think she is aware that she is not allowed to work for 2 employers at the same time.
