Hi everyone, I have 2 questions.

1- If the company decides to get LMIA, how long does it take them to get it?

2- If you have an offer without LMIA, but you are selected for ITA (let`s say you get 500 points and therefore eligible), can you still get PR and therefore work for a position that doesn`t have LMIA?

Thanks!

1) Anywhere from 2 months to 6 months if you include the time required to advertise the role.
2) This question is a bit confusing. You can still be selected through Express Entry and obtain PR without an LMIA. Once you are a PR, you can work at any job (you don't need an LMIA or work permit).

1. LMIA processing times are widely variable and can range from a few weeks to a few months. The position must be advertised for at least a month according set standards. A quick google search can tell you what these standards are.

Once a PR you can take any job, yes. Whether or not you are granted PR is dependent on you demonstrating that you meet the requirements of the program you apply under.
