Hi there,
i finally got accepted by one college but it wasnt my preferred choice, still waiting to get accepted by them.
So i was wondering, is it possible for me to apply for the study permit with the letter of acceptance of college A and then if i get accepted into college B i decline the offer of college A and attend college B?
Or is the study permit only valid for the college of the letter of acceptance i submitted to CIC?
I found this link here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=487&t=15 and it says:
Post-secondary student

You may change your school, program, field of study or level of study (e.g. from the Bachelor level to the Masters level) without applying for a new study permit. You do not need to apply for a change to the condition of your study permit, either. You may continue to use your study permit as long as it is valid.
So that sounds like it doesnt matter and the study permit is valid for every college, not just the one i submitted when applying for the permit!

Does anybody have experience with that or know something for sure?

And my second question is: i need to submit proof of funds but my bank doesn't issue bank statements in english, only in german.
Has anybody ever submitted proof of fund in another language than english?
I know it says online all the documents need to be in english but then im thinking, the only thing they need to see on the statement is the balance which is a number so they should be able to figure it out even if its not in english. Plus the visa office is in the same country so you could think that everybody who works there should speak or atleast understand enough german to understand the bank statement!?!

If not, how do I have to translate it? Does it need to be a certified translation or is it okay if i or for example a english teacher was to translate it and i submit both original and translation?

Hi, You can apply for the visa with offer A and get it changed provided College A agrees to refund your fees and the seats are still available in College B for a particular program.

Regarding your second question, I will say it is always recommended to provide the documents with the translation and the translation should be from a certified translator not from any other person. If you provide it from your teacher it would not be accepted.
