2 NOC of Work History

Hello every one,

I am about to create my EE profile, but have a question regarding my work experience. I have two unrelated graduate degrees.
2013 June：PhD in Biology
2014 June：CS in Computer Sciences

From Aug 2007 to May 2011: Teaching Assistant in Biology Department while pursuing PhD in Biology

Aug 2014 - June 2016: Software Engineer at Company A
June 2016 - present: Software Engineer at Company B

Can I use NOC 4012 (Post-secondary teaching and research assistants) and NOC 2173 (Software engineers and designers) in order to get 3 years of foreign work experience to claim 50 CRS points?

On CIC website, the eligibility page asks me "In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation." So I am worried that I cannot combine working experiences from different fields?

CIC states that work experience obtained during study will not be counted.

It seems that you have teaching assistant job while PhD. So they might not count that work experience.

But my degrees are from United States, no in Canada.

Does not matter - the rule is universal - study period anywhere in the world

OK, thank you. I will remove this part as foreign work experience then.
